Prof. Dr. Sedef Canbazoğlu Bilici received her bachelor’s degree in Science Education from Kocaeli University in 2006. She completed her master’s degree in 2008 and her Ph.D. in 2012, both in Science Education at Gazi University. Between 2006 and 2007, she worked as a science teacher in a middle school. From 2007 to 2008, she served as a research assistant at Aksaray University, followed by a research assistant position at Gazi University from 2008 to 2011. In 2011, she was awarded a research fellowship by the Higher Education Council of Turkey and spent one year as a visiting scholar at the University of Minnesota, STEM Education Center.
Between 2012 and 2022, she held various academic positions at Aksaray University’s Faculty of Education, serving as a research assistant, an assistant professor, and an associate professor. In 2022, she joined Gazi University, Gazi Faculty of Education, Department of Mathematics and Science Education, Division of Science Education. Prof.Dr. Canbazoğlu Bilici has published extensively in international journals and led projects funded by the European Union and the Scientific and Technological Research Council of Türkiye (TÜBİTAK). Her research interests include the teacher education, Technological Pedagogical Content Knowledge (TPACK), and engineering design-based practices in STEM education.
