Professor Dr. Şakir Çınkır works at the Faculty of Educational Sciences, in the Department of Educational Management and Policy. Professor Çıkır serves as the Vice Dean of Research at Ankara University and as the Head of the Department of Educational Management. Dr. Çınkır earned his Ph.D. from the School of Education at the University of Leeds, UK, in 2001.

He has published numerous articles in national and international journals in the field of educational sciences. He teaches courses in Educational Management, Management Theories, School Management, Human Resource Management, Research Methodology, and Academic Reading and Writing Techniques at undergraduate and graduate levels.

His research interests include school management, organisational behaviour educational leadership, school inspection, bullying in schools, and school self-evaluation.
